Our Commitment to Privacy

Privacy guarantee: At FriscoMOMS, we are adamant about protecting our Members' privacy. Our policy is clear: We never release or sell any of the information you give us without your clear permission regarding a specific promotion or opportunity. We'll use the information you give us to protect your security and to channel relevant information to you in the way that you want it. FriscoMOMS will also make various promotions and offers of interest available to FriscoMOMS members. Members will be able to explicitly accept the offer and ask FriscoMOMS to provide them relevant contact information to the relevant partner.

We at FriscoMOMS have created this privacy guarantee in order to demonstrate just how committed we are to protecting the privacy of our members and the privacy of other visitors to our Web site, FriscoMOMS.org. This statement explains why we ask for the information that we do, how we will use it, and what access you have to the information we collect.

What We Ask

Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (including name and email address) and requests some demographic information (such as address, zip code, and age). If a user does not provide this information, she cannot become a FriscoMOMS member and she will not have access to the features of FriscoMOMS.org, such as the FriscoMOMS calendar, or other member only services.

Registered users can also refer other Moms within the City of Frisco by providing their first names and email addresses. Using this information, we will send these "prospects" an Membership Package to join FriscoMOMS via mail. The only way these prospects can become members is by signing up themselves.

The Way We Use Information

We use a member's contact information to verify her membership. We'll also use this contact information to tailor specific content and offerings to member Moms. We will send FriscoMOMS newsletters and other important information and offerings.

We use demographic and profile data collected at our site to personalize your visit. With this data, we can provide content applicable to your particular location and interests and tailor the content to fit your individual needs. General, nonidentifying information regarding the total number of visitors to our site and the services that the visitors used will be shared with sponsors and advertisers who offer services relevant to our members, but FriscoMOMS will not disclose any private information that could be used to identify individual members.

FriscoMOMS will has several commerce partners. To receive information directly from these companies or to buy one of their products, you will be hyperlinked to their Web sites. Any data that you supply to these commerce partners to obtain information or buy products from them is beyond our reach and will be the responsibility of each of the linked-to entities and not FriscoMOMS. We do not have access to the information you give them for products purchased by you through linked-to entities.

FriscoMOMS will not release or sell ANY of the information that Moms provide us without the specific permission of a member Mom who chooses to participate in a specific promotion or opportunity. To help make sure that you receive information that is relevant to you and to keep track of your purchases of products and services, our site uses data "cookies." These cookies are small pieces of information stored on your computer that help us keep track of who is visiting our site. In effect, they let us know that you are the Mom who has registered with us. While these cookies let us know who you are, your email address and other sensitive materials will be protected by the password given to you when you registered, which only you should know.

In addition to cookies, we collect the following information from all visitors to our site: the name of the domain through which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you use America Online); the date and time you access our site; the Internet address from which you linked to our site (the Web page you "clicked" from to get to our page); and the individual address of the computer you used to access our site. We use this information to administer our Web site, to help diagnose and troubleshoot potential server malfunctions, and to gather broad demographic information.

FriscoMOMS.org also has bulletin boards where members may post messages. Any messages posted to these bulletin boards will become public to other members and any personal information you post will be accessible to any visitors to that board.

We use a return-email function to answer the email we receive. We do not share email addresses with outside parties.

FriscoMOMS.org contains links to other sites. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these Web sites or any other sites linked to or referenced on our site.
